PostSubject: Big changes coming for game 3 in Montreal   Sat Apr 18, 2009 11:49 pm

After gettting run out of the rink in game 2 losing 5-1 at the garden in boston, expect the habs to make big changes for the game monday night. Carey Price let a couple of weak goals in the first two periods and was replaced by halak for the start of the third who showed promise with 2 big saves. It's sad to say that Halak will or should be in the net for the rest of the playoffs in my opinion. Gainey needs to realise that "the price" has not been right for the last half of the season and is not right in the playoffs as well. If things turn around and montreal can rebound from this and I expect they will make this a series and not a total flop. I would not expect price to be the number one goaltender starting next season if they resign halak. Obviously he has not matured enough to take his role with urgency this season and after getting shelled for 5 goals and coming out in the third and pretending to hit a fan and joking around is not the smartest thing to do and that is just the maturity factor coming out.

Now on Milan Lucic...

This guy is gonna get hurt...maybe not this year or the next but he is due to get his clock cleaned by somebody. If the league doesn't suspend this guy for his cross check on maxim lappierre, I will be digusted. You do not cross check somebody in the head and get away with it period. If Carcillo can get suspended for his elbow on talbot, lucic is a shoe in for at least a one gamer. He is a good player but definitely has his head in the clouds....

Now on the refs....

How one sided was the penalties for this game. Montreal did not have one powerplay until Lucic antics in the third period. Was boston playing for the lady byng?? HELL NO!! They hooked and hit from behind and interfered with the goaltender just like montreal did. BUT THE BRUINS HAD 5 POWERPLAYS TO MONTREAL'S ZERO POWERPLAYS. I am not being a homer here but come on, boston could of went to the box just as much as montreal. And look at beregeron and his DIVING. Why do they call a dive for boston and a penalty for the habs as well. It's either one or the other pal!!! Anyways if montreal has those refs for mondays game they better play smart cause the reffing like it or not has been a little one sided!!

But this is what everybody expected right...Boston too steam roll the habs and win the series easily. So far so good Boston but I wouldn't say win yet.......I can feel a change is coming...

i hope i am wrong but i just dont feel the same about a comeback as i did a couple of years ago ,that being said we are back at home and the possibility of a very key player is on the horizon.
Keys to game
1. Goalie has to be great
2. Laraque has played ok but get 13 back on the big line
3. we are going to have to be more aggresive to draw some PP time
4. finally just take a step back and realize we underacheived drastically in the 82 game schedule but if we play the way we are capable of we can beat Boston.
5. I hope 41 gets a chance and makes some very difficult decisions for montreal brass, it could be a storyline waiting to happen
